Myopic Billy Kristol

Little Billy Kristol, with all the cynicism he can muster up, opines, or maybe better stated, puts his two cents in regarding the Schiavo case. (Oh, excuse me Billy – I should not have referred to you as little. That leads one to ponder.) When I say two cents, I am speaking to the pure value of his article and that is being gratuitous.

If Kristol is going pick a side, which he or hardly anyone else is qualified to do, and try to make an apples-to-apples comparison, he should use apples. In this case, Kristol compares apples to bananas – the shapes aren’t even similar, much less the same fruit.

But then again, I suppose I could be wrong. I am sure Billy Kristol possessed all the wisdom, maturity, and common sense at seventeen that a forty-year-old person has. I know there has never been a reason for him to reflect upon his actions when he was seventeen or younger and ask, “Why in God’s name did I do that?”

For what it’s worth, I’ll put my two cents in Billy. First, I oppose capital punishment. The last time I checked, I nor anyone else on terra firma is part of the Trinity. Second, state courts in this country have continued to drop the age at which they will try a child as an adult. Children ten to thirteen years old facing trials as an adult is insanity Mr. Kristol.

Billy, email me. I’ll be glad to refer you to a great ophthalmologist – he’s fifteen, therefore he obviously has all the experience necessary to meet your needs. You need not worry as he pokes around your myopic eyes.
