Bush’s consistent record

The president gets an A+ in consistency. He failed in every economic venture from a young adult dabbling into the oil industry to the ownership and management of a professional baseball team. In keeping with his personal policy - Bush personally made a few million selling his baseball team, but that was the only success — the tax cuts provided to the top 1% in the country continue.

Yesterday, Alan Greenspan warned Congress about the continuing deficits:

With just three months left before he leaves office, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan raised a warning to Congress: The country could face “serious economic disruptions” if bloated budget deficits are not curbed.

The Fed chief’s strong comments, made during an appearance Thursday before Congress’ Joint Economic Committee, come after the government produced a $319 billion budget deficit this year _ an improvement from the record amount of red ink registered in 2004 but still the third-highest deficit on record.

The president is oblivious to the realities of Iraq; oblivious to being surrounded by gypsies, tramps, and thieves; and doesn’t know the difference between a debit and a credit.

Why the hell is this guy allowed to remain in office? A democrat would have long since been impeached.

Military Ordered To Trim Budgets

The situation in Iraq continues to decline – casualty rates rise; troops continue to not have adequate equipment; there aren’t enough troops to get the job done in Iraq; Alan Greenspan gives warnings about the impact of the deficit; the military is ordered to trim its budget by $32.1 billion; gasoline prices are at an unbelievable and unjustifiable high and the oil companies burst at the seams from absurd profits. But, the Administration demands the tax cut for the top 1% of the country remain intact.

Are our priorities in the right place? Of course they are; ask the president he’ll tell you everything is great and we’re going to stay the course.

Judge for Tom DeLay Decided

Tom DeLay gets a Democratic judge.

A Democratic judge was named on Thursday to preside over the money-laundering and conspiracy case against U.S. Republican Rep. Tom DeLay in an appointment made by the chief justice of the Texas Supreme Court.

Senior Judge Pat Priest of San Antonio will replace state District Judge Robert Perkins, who was forced off the case on Tuesday after DeLay’s attorneys complained he was too staunchly Democratic to give their client a fair trial.

Priest was appointed by Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Wallace Jefferson, a Republican endorsed and aided by DeLay’s Texans for a Republican Majority, or TRMPAC, a political action committee at the center of the criminal charges.
