Bush Warned on Intelligence

The New York Times has a piece on intelligence warnings given to the Bush administration before the invasion of Iraq.

Ibn al-Shaykh al-Libi, a “top member” in al Qaeda, captured at the end of 2001, provided false information, which was used as part of President Bush’s propaganda against Iraq. In a major speech delivered in Cincinnati to justify the war against Iraq, Bush referred to the al-Libi provided information that had already been deemed not credible.
