TPC reader SW on the Murtha issue and the foolishness underway in the House of Representatives…

I just tried calling Congresswoman Schmidt’s office to politely demand a public apology to Murtha; I first got a message from her to leave a voice mail, then another message that I couldn’t because her voice mail was full.

This whole debate is infuriating me, and Congressman Murtha’s stirring rhetoric made many excellent points. I’ve been spending many hours at the local VA Hospital lately, and each time, seeing more young people who seem overwhelmed;  the entire VA system is underfunded and overwhelmed as well. Murtha knows the cost of fighting; Schmidt and Cheney should be appalled and ashamed of themselves for even questioning it.
