George Bush has lost support from some serious neo-cons.
As Iraq slips further into chaos, the war’s neoconservative boosters have turned sharply on the Bush administration, charging that their grand designs have been undermined by White House incompetence. In a series of exclusive interviews, Richard Perle, Kenneth Adelman, David Frum, and others play the blame game with shocking frankness. Target No. 1: the president himself.

Please don’t read the next sentence, think documentary, and immediately decide not interested - read a little further before deciding to not watch the film. I implore every voter and potential voter to watch the HBO documentary film Hacking Democracy. I found it frustrating - beyond shocking. As The Boston Globe and The New York Times confirm, this is disturbing stuff and not the stereotype sleeping pill.
I promise this - after seeing this film about the exploratory activities of Black Box Voting, you will find an alternative to electronic voting if possible, especially if Diebold is the manufacturer of the machine. If you ever suspected election fraud in past elections (i.e. 2000 and 2004), doubt is removed after learning about machines submitting negative vote totals.
When you vote on Tuesday, play very close attention to detail. If your machine is supposed to display your name as you vote, make sure it is displayed before, during, and after your vote. Most of the possible shenanigans are not detectable, but some anomalies may be visible.
If Diebold machines are used in my precinct Tuesday, I plan to ask for a manual alternative.

This comes from Jeralyn at TalkLeft.
“The issue being pushed by the extreme Right Wing blog Red State is that Democratic candidate for Congress in the 9th district of Indiana, Baron Hill, was not the official 100 yard dash record holder in high school as he claims, because he did not run his record dash in the state finals. I kid you not:
“Hill’s campaign biography said he set the dash record while at Seymour High School and continued to hold it. But the Indiana High School Athletic Association lists someone else as the record holder for running a time of 9.5 seconds during the state finals of the 1965-66 school year. According to Seymour High School, Hill ran a 100-yard dash in 9.5 seconds at a 1970 track meet. But because it was not part of the state finals, the IHSAA does not count it as tying the record.â€
