White House Complicit in Bypassing Senate Confirmation

A few moments ago, Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) put the squeeze on Kyle Sampson about the White House abusing the Patriot Act to appoint U.S. attorneys. Sampson, former Chief of Staff to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, clearly implicated members of the White House staff, saying they discussed, for months, bypassing Senate confirmation of U.S. attorneys.
This guy just threw himself and the White House under the bus.
