Lieberman: U.S. Should "Take Aggressive Military Action Against Iran"

Getting this video of Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) prepared for publishing has been like trying to win the war in Iraq. The video publishing software has taken a serious hit - Lieberman must have taken military action against me before moving on to Iran.

On “Face the Nation” today, Senator Lieberman loaded his weapon and pointed it directly at Iran. In response to Bob Scheiffer’s question on what the U.S. should do about Iran, Lieberman said, “”I think we have to be prepared to take aggressive military action against the Iranians to stop them from killing Americans in Iraq.” That’s not a joke as evidenced in the video, but there is more.

Before bearing down on Iran, Lieberman warmed up with Bush and Cheney’s frequently used call-to-arms fear mongering by falsely claiming that the people we are fighting in Iraq are the same people that attacked the U.S. on 9/11. I wish someone would have enlightened me about this resurrection of the 19 hijackers; I presumed they were transformed into dust upon impact and sent straight to hell.

Unfortunately, I was unable to include Mr. Lieberman’s infusion of 9/11 on this video due to the video software problems. Maybe later.

Lieberman’s rhetoric appears to have passed George Bush’s level of mania; he is sitting par with Dick Cheney.
