Edwards on Leno tonight

John Edwards is scheduled to be on Jay Leno tonight.

I don’t believe Edwards would announce an endorsement on Leno as it would lessen the significance (a la Fred Thompson). But his appearance could be a promo follow-up for an announcement made during the day.

Edwards has no significance…he’s at best an ass-clown but, any mental midget who would pretend to give him any credibility at all is little more than a drooling idiot.

What evidence, specifically, do you have to support your allegation that Edwards has no significance? You saying it doesn’t make it true, no matter how much you may want it to be.

An Edwards’ endorsement will not necessarily be a nomination-decider, but to dismiss it as inconsequential would be naive at best. If nothing else, it would generate several positive news cycles for whomever he might endorse, and that within itself has the potential for influencing future primary voters and more importantly super-delegates.

As of now, the Democratic nomination is going to decided by super-delegates. It is mathematically impossible for future primaries or caucuses to put either candidate past the 2024 pledged delegate threshold. While no one can actually put a quantitative measure on an endorsement by Edwards or any other person, an endorsement for a candidate by any notable Democrat — Edwards, Gore, Pelosi, etc. — would be an influential factor in the political landscape in a variety of ways.

Moreover, you obviously have dismissed the concept that a single notable endorsement at this stage could be all that is needed to cause other super-delegates to follow suit.

If you have something substantiative to base your allegation on, I would like to hear it, but I don’t believe you do. I may be wrong, but your comment sounds more like you are an Edwards-hater and emotions are the only thing you are willing to bring to the table.

So glad to see an appearance. I have been a big fan for a while. America should be so LUCKY to have him as our President. Corporate media destroyed his candidacy and thwarted America’s recovery. Weapons makers shouldn’t own the media. It’s ruining America and defeating the Constitution.

I’ll be glad to see Edwards making public appearances as well. I did volunteer work for his campaign and was obviously disappointed with his withdrawal. No one could credibly argue that Edwards’ demise was anything but at the hands of the media.

Edwards is a glorified ambulance chaser. He was an empty Senate suit and has no influence beyond a warm bucket of spit.

When John dropped out I was so disappointed.
Maybe Hillary will make him VP.

Just watched the show. No endorsement tonight…just a regular appearance.

John Edwards is a class act, but unfortunately I think it was just not his time. Although he has the makings of a good President I believe Hillary Clinton to be the stronger candidate and I hope he endorses her. She will carry on with his mission of making the middle class stronger. I would love to see him as vice president. I think they would work well together. To me that would be the “dream ticket”. I wish him and his family well.
