Rachel -

I understand where you're coming from. Six months ago this might have not been an issue, but Sen. Clinton has parsed every word Sen. Obama has said and then interpreted them to fit her agenda and strategy of demonizing her opponent. It is unreasonable for her to not expect the playing field to be leveled and receive the same type of criticism in turn.

If she can't ensure that every word she speaks is not politically correct, then she cannot demand the same from any other person, which she has done ad nauseam. How can she rant and rave and accuse Sen. Obama of being an elitist based on her interpretation of the words "bitter" and "cling," and not expect the same in return?

Unfortunately it is a political game that she started. And what better way to characterize it than in the words of Harry Truman which Sen. Clinton loves to repeat: "If she can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

It all comes down to "do unto others..."

My first reaction was that she was being sarcastic. I can't believe how often many Obama supporters and media people recoil with so much animosity to anything she says, always interpreting it in the worst possible way.

I know exactly what she meant. Its like being a grandma. We bless our grandchildren with the riches God bestows on us.

May God richly bless you and Bill, Hillary!
You have worked hard all your life in this tough political world.

We need you in the White House so God can once again bless America!

Oh come on--why isn't the media jumping all over this?!?!

When Obama made his "bitter" comment, yes, it was clumsily worded, but he was sincerely trying to express the frustrations of Americans with a failing government. THIS COMMENT from Hillary sounds quite "elitist."
