onsidering that African Americans make up roughly 12 % of the American Population, I\'ve always been stymied at how Obama\'s \"base\" has consistently been assigned to this single constituency! Especially when you consider the states where his lead initially came from?!?! Not many African Americans in Iowa folks! And those there at the time of the caucuses probably voted for Clinton. Remember her husband\'s much vaunted popularity amongst African Americans? Bill Clinton, the 1st Black President? BTW, if any one entity is most responsible for the racial polarization of this primary IT HAS BEEN THE MEDIA, who\'ve been spoiling for an ugly race fight since their first \"Is America ready to elect a Black President???\" headline.

As for Hillary, she might consider how and why she decided to throw the African American vote away and not lift one finger to fight for it? Had she, like Obama, done just one public (and I don\'t mean a little banquet hall with tepid whispers but behind the podium, all media assembled) repudiation of not only her husbands insensitive remarks but of Geraldine Ferraro\'s asinine antics she may have broken off enough of that African American voting block to have secured the nomination or at least be a heck of a lot closer in the delegate count. The media never will because they\'re inherently lazy, but if you compared her polling among blacks in February vs. Now the proofs in the pudding and that\'s not Obama\'s doing, she handed that voting block over. Oh, and just for the record, not just African Americans get ticked off or alienated by racial divisiveness. Plenty of hard working whites without college degrees do too!

To me, the greatest example of racism yet in this race is the disportionate number of folks voting based on racial similarities. Its just fine for 91% of blacks to vote for a Black man because he is black, but it is not OK for 1% of whites to vote for Hillary because she is white. Are all 91% of blacks voting for Barak because he is black? I would bet that for the strong majority it is a consideration if not the prime determining factor. And yet, if a white person even takes it remotely into account, it is "Racism at its worst" and a crime. Racism will only stop existing when race does not matter for blacks as well as whites, and it has been definitively proven during this election cycle that race is much more improtant to blacks than whites. So tell me, who is more racist as a race? I think we now know the answer.

This, btw, is comming from a person who is likely gonna vote "none of the above" because there are no good candidates available.

This little episode is nothing. HRC will subordinate ALL moral and ethical considerations to winning this contest. Look at the family history. The next few weeks should be VERY interesting for political junkies, and provide the basis for future movies.

She is correct. The black vote, if every black voted for Obama, would only bring him something like 15% of the national vote. Of course, exceptions have to be made because Florida voters do not know how to use voting machines or the paper ballots.
If the hispanics voted for Obama, that would only be another 12-15% of the vote.
If all of the whites vote for Hillary, she wins by the popular vote and probably by most of the electoral college votes. This vote is not a vote by the majority of the national voters. It is still up to the electoral college to place a president in office.
So all of this nonsense that has been going on for months will finally be over. Hooray!

Dear Racist Pattern Emerging,

There are many great organizations in our communities that offer diversity training and support in how to respectfully dialogue on issues like race and gender. Check them out. Since you genuinely care about racial disparity, I think you'd find it worth your time.

If you knew Hillary Clinton, you'd know she has devoted her life to racial parity. Please, don't play so recklessly with other people's words until you know what they meant by them.

Thank you.
